The IHAT model.

Why it works.

Addiction is a chronic condition, much like diabetes or hypertension. It needs more than a 28-day solution. The In-Home Addiction Treatment (IHAT) model brings recovery to the client’s living environment for up to 12 months. This gives the brain time to begin to rebalance its neurochemistry and repair its executive decision making functions.

How it works.

The IHAT model is based on a full continuum of home-based care. Including in-home withdrawal management (in-home detox), medication-assisted treatment (MAT), individual therapy, family therapy, and coordinated medical and behavioral healthcare.

The team works.

Whole person health requires that each patient is under the care of a psychiatric professional, licensed therapist, registered nurse, licensed social worker, licensed family systems therapist, and two certified recovery advisors. Clients are matched with recovery coaches based on age, gender, location, and story.

The family works-better.

The In-Home Addiction Treatment (IHAT) model includes family education sessions, as well as family systems therapy. It provides care that will improve the prognosis for the individual and allow family members to heal together.

IHAT Testimonial

"I’ve been both an educator and treatment provider in the past. Being able to combine my skills to empower IHAT Practitioners to serve people struggling with substance use disorder is incredibly fulfilling. The IHAT Institute gives me the tools I need to instill skills and confidence."
